After four years, Twyla Long and her family are grateful to finally have their whole family together again. In September 2008, the Longs’ two Siberian Husky puppies, China and Asia, were stolen from their backyard in Grand Prairie, Texas. Luckily, the two dogs were implanted with with microchips to help trace them if they ever went missing.
Two years later, China was found in Saginaw, Texas, about an hour and 45 minutes away from their home. Asia, returned home over the weekend after being tracked down in Chicago, Ill., about 825 miles away from the Longs’ home. And all thanks to the microchip.
