9/11 Comfort Dogs

The lesser known of the 9/11 canine heroes, comfort dogs, help soothe those affected by the attacks on September 11, 2001. Comfort dogs, such as this Golden Retriever, travel to disaster scenes to help aid in relief efforts. Studies have shown that people experience changes, such as a drop in heart rate and blood pressure when they pet animals.
