This is Jade, my now four-year old female Caucasian Ovcharka, and me in summer ’09. The CO is a flock guardian breed, and Jade has personally protected me over 20 times from real threats. As required by her breed Jade, while ferociously protective towards perceived and real threats, she is the biggest suck with her “people”, children and our cat, Mittens.
