My husky beagle not a ‘mix’, it’s a Huggle. No reason these beautiful dogs can’t be glamorous like their ugly pug/beagle relatives.

I have a beagle husky mix. She is the best dog in the world. She does not chew things, she is loving and of course so adorable. She definitely has a beagle face with the colors of a husky. Love her, love her (she is almost 3).

My 3-1/2 yr. old is down to 65 lbs. after switching to low-cal food. I told the vet it’s pure muscle but she’s dubious.

Are you still looking for a Huggle? I have two males left. I am located in Huntsville Arkansas and I’m giving them to a good home for free. Please let me know if you or someone you know is still wanting or looking for one. Thanks!!!!

There’s no actaul classification name for the Husky/Beagle mixed breed. At the moment, it is only called a Husky Beagle mix or Beagle Husky mix.

I just lost my 4 year old beagle/husky mix. She was the best dog I have ever owned. She weighed 47 pounds. I too am looking for another. I have found only 3 so far and thay are all more than 300 miles away from me. I need a puppy because I run a daycare and have to train them around my babies. I can’t believe this isn’t an acknowledged breed like the Puggle. Hugles are so much cuter and have the best personality EVER!! If anyone is willing to breed these dogs, I am lookig and I’m sure you wouldn’t have a hard time selling them, they are so beautiful and precious!! Please contact me if you are or know anyone who is willing to breed them. Thanks. Missing my Peaches <3

We have just rehomed a three year old beagle/husky cross. She is the sweetest dog, really loving and well behaved. Although she pulls very stronly on a short lead, her recall off the lead is excellant and she doesn’t run off. I would recommend this cross to anyone who wants a people orientated clever dog.

I too have a eagle husky mix. Pretty cool looking with the one blue eye. Because of the beagle he does like to run off and follow his nose. The problem I’mhaving is I may be forced to move this year and worry about having to possibly rehome him. He is such a lover, too! Great with other dogs and kids.

I have a 14.5 year old Beagle/Husky and I can’t have asked for a more interesting, fun dog. She has the traits of both breeds and unfortunately can’t be let off lead for she is led by her nose and runs off. She is still very spry, and can run like the wind. Winter is of course her favorite season and does not want to come inside. The only downfall is her double coat and the shedding. I have had her for 14 years and can’t imagine what life would be like without her.

We just had to put our beagle husky mix down yesterday. He was a great dog with a loving personality. If Deb has to rehome hers, we may be interested. We miss our little guy so much.

Any tips on traits or training of this breed would be greatly appreciated! :)

We adopted a Beagle/Husky mix at 3 months that was found abandoned on the side of the road and he is such a loveable smart puppy. Leo has one blue eye and one brown eye and such long legs and favors more of the husky traits! Although he is led by his nose he always comes a running when a treat is offered! Never hearing of this breed before we were surprised by his traits and good nature! We love our Busky!

I just adopted a husky beagle mix from the shelter near me. I have had her for a little over a month and already I can tell I am the luckiest dog owner ever. Two days and the pup had potty training down with one accident since then, she knows all the primary commands along with hand signals. She likes to dig so I have to go behind her and find her holes, but filling them in with rocks is a good way to let them know you don’t want them to dig there. She is incredibly intelligent and has ice blue eyes that catch everyone’s attention. So far she is just at 30 lbs we will see how big she gets, I have been told anywhere between 35-70 lbs is normal.

We happened upon our Beagle/Husky (we call her a Busky) at a rescue event at a local pet big box. We stopped “just to look” because we had been talking about getting a dog, and I wanted a rescue. As we were walking around, I started talking to a woman with a beautiful dog on a leash. This dog looked at me, and I was gone!! One blue eye and the other half blue/half brown. I told her how pretty her dog was, and my husband and I continued to look around, We came to the last row of kennels, and there was the beautiful dog–her owner had arranged to bring her to the event to surrender because they were moving and couldn’t take her! Four years later, the spoiled little lady still gives me that same look!

She’s about 30 lbs, looks like a beagle but with longer legs, the blue in the eyes, and more of a husky coloring through her back. She’s also a bit “huskier” than the average beagle. What we find so amazing is that she is SO quiet. You’d think with the husky bark and the beagle bay she’d make SOME noise, but she actually makes more noise in her sleep than she does when she’s awake!

Sorry for the long post; you can tell she’s spoiled, and we’re so happy to have been in the right place so she could find us. We often wonder about litter mates or search to find others of her hybrid breed. Just thought I’d let you know our experiences with this cross.

  18. Lonnie says:

Just want to say I got a girl hugle and a husky/Australian Shepard as litter mates. Grace was the sweetest dog I have ever seen. She passed at 12 years old. Miss her a lot but her brother Gus while different is also quite devoted to me. Never had a problem with either being runners. Both amazing dogs and they get attn every where we got.
