Merlin is our 1 1/2 year old Sheltie. He is very shy but oh so photogenic. We recently shaved him and he loves his new do! We have another a little girl Sheltie, Lucy (not pictured), and the two are inseparable.

Beautiful pup! I have have two shelties myself, they’re like chips, you can’t have just one. He doesn’t look shaved in the photo, so maybe you meant he got a trim. In any case, these dogs have a double coat; their coats trap warm air in the winter and cool air in the summer, which means you should never shave them.
