Seeking A Long Lost Friend

Kirby is not ready to say goodbye to a loving friend.

Since the passing of his owner, Kirby has gone from home to home, only to escape each time in search of a long lost friend, his owner Sharon Ratteree, who died in April. Sharon took the dog in when her daughter passed away only two weeks after bringing him home.

Misses His Mom Who Passed Away

“There’s no other way to explain it really, he’s just sad and lonely and misses his mom,” said Dave Wills,  Sharon’s grandson.

A Bond Beyond This Life

The bond that formed between the two would prove stronger than anyone could have imaged. When Kirby escaped from his current owners, he was eventually located miles from home, sitting beside Sharon Ratteree’s grave keeping watch over her.
