Tribute to Ginger

This is my roommate, Sam’s dog Ginger. She was an energetic lab/vissla mix. She suffered kidney failure this summer and sadly never fully recoverd. Sam finally had to make the difficult decision over the weekend to release her from the binds of her failing body and put her to sleep.

She made an impact on everyone who met her, below is an obituary written with love and a grin…

“Ginger lived an idyllic dog’s life running through high mountains, swimming in oceans and streams, and receiving daily marathon belly rub sessions. Though her wondrous life was brief, it is safe to say that she experienced the life of at least three dogs, which approximates to 273 dog years. She died valiantly rescuing a family of tennis balls from a sinking battleship on the high seas of the South Pacific. Sailors who witnessed her heroic feat claim that she died without pain, for Ginger does not tolerate pain; pain is forced to tolerate Ginger. She is survived by her friends, family, and scores of sticks, tennis balls, and squirrels she chased without relent.”

She will be missed. RIP Ginger.
