Josh Hines, who works in the production department of WBKO, is trying to save a stray abused dog in Egypt.

During a trip there last month Josh caught sight of a stray dog that caught his eye because it was being openly abused on the streets. Now, he’s trying to bring the dog to the U.S. as well as raise awareness about animal abuse.

“I feel like I was possibly the only person to ever connect with this dog and not be mean to it and it broke my heart having to walk away from him. I don’t know if people realize how bad it is in places like that you know, there’s not really animal welfare groups the way they are here.” Josh said.

To adopt the dog and fly it over to the US. he needs to raise $750.
