A True Story – Polka Gets Adopted – Dot Left Behind

I won’t give the real names or cities, but this is a true story. As you could imagine, as cute as these two were, it wouldn’t take long for someone to want to adopt them. Soon enough a woman from a nearby county called to inquire about Polka and came to the  Heartland Humane Society in Oregon to adopt just him, but not his brother Dot.

A Friend Saves The Day

When she brought him home, one of her best friends decided to go adopt Dot. So, even though Polka and Dot went to two different homes, their new owners are best friends and they have lots of play dates together. They were able to continue the special bond they have as brothers.
